  1. Sushi Sushi is pretty good. Very consistant and fresh fish from what I can tell, although I don't claim to be a sushi expert. I go to Spices a lot, but I don't find that the Sushi is excellent. It is only average there and the selection is pretty limited.
  2. Sure but Monica, what do we think about Heritage India vis-a-vis Indique? About Bombay Polo Club? About Woodands or Udupi Palace as comparred to these more-global places? The southern Indian places stand alone on a tangent, I think, but that still doesn't reconcile Heritage vs. Indique, not that there needs to be a "contest." Personally, I'd prefer to have narrative descriptions of each without the need to assign stars or point scores. That's more natural and consistent with reality, no? .
  3. Oh. Stay away from Cesco Trattoria. That place is way too overpriced for what you get. It has been on the top 100 Restaurants in the Washingtonian since forever, and I never understand why. I mean the food there is good, but not that good. I mean you would think you were at Galileo or something. Go to Il Pizzico, Kuna, or Spezie. Click on the spezie link for some things I wrote on my site about my experiences there. Nam's is good Vietnamese. Ocean Grill is kind of hit or miss. It used to be really good when it was "GrillFish". Then it changed owners and kind of went downhill. That place used to be so crowded on the weekends, and now you can just walk in. The one downtown is still a Grillfish, and I hear it is still wonderful. Definitely go there instead of Legal Seafood for really fresh fish. That's about all I can think of for now.
  4. There is a new Neisha Thai in DC on Wisconsin Ave In Tenleytown. The seafood dishes are good, but I would stay away from Chicken or Beef. In Old Town, Alexandria, I like to go to Old Town Thai. I personally don't find any of the Thai restaurants in this area worth making a special trip for however. Maybe I am wrong, but they all seem the same to me.
  5. I'm at 2 Amys at least once a week. My favorite is the Norcia. The new antipasto bar is wonderful. :) If you go to Cafe Deluxe enough you will see the owner sitting at the bar taking a break. I wrote a review of 2 Amy's on my site.
  6. HAANDI, HAANDI, HAANDI. There is also a Hard Times over there, but I would not call that fine dining. There is also a great italian place called Frascati. I have only been there once, some friends of mine swear by it.
