  1. I am really enjoying reading a fellow Canucks blog!!! (I live in incredibly beautiful Victoria- plug plug!!!) I was wondering if you could share the name of the low carb protein drink you use? I have never had one of those but I am really getting into weight training (just for fun- nothing serious). I don't know where to start so I am sure whatever your drinking is great! I raised two daughters but my sister has two growing teenage boys- they also live near their school. While my sister is at work the boys and their friends drop by and hoover the food out of the house. All the other parents have banned their kids from doing the same at lunch. This is a very affulent area but they still don't mind if their kids clean my sister out!
  2. Thanks for the info on your books! I have the WS one you did on vegetables- a very beautiful book. Now that I have actually "talked " to you I feel like I want all your books! Looking forward to your new ones as well!

Anyway, could you tell me a bit about it? We eat vegetarian most of the time and I am wondering if this book has alot of veggie recipes. Also, are you currently working on a cookbook? Thanks!

  14. Hi rajsuman!! Are you my long lost twin??? Every year I tell my family that I would love a cookbook for Xmas or my birthday (when they ask) and they always says-oh you have so many..... I have never recived a cookbook as a gift! I don't want much else-actually any book is nice but a cookbook???....heaven! My DH doesn't mind at all that I have so many but I think other people think it is friviolous (they of course have brick or brack, two or three cars etc. etc. ). I would love to know what some of your favourite books are-I dare say I will want them if I don't already own them! Yours in solidarity!
  15. Hi Monica!!! Gosh I just put your name to your cookbook! I have been thinking of buying it and now I definately will! Is the book you owned this one? I use to own it but gave it away... what was I thinking? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=glance&s=books
  16. peanutgirl you spoke for me as well! I wish I had a friend who lived nearby and loved cookbooks as much as I do! Everyone I know (in person ) can't believe how many cookbooks I own and how special they are to me. I sometimes feel I am alone in my obession until I come to sites like this. Thank you all for making me sane! I am curious as to the name of that wonderful Middle eastern book Monica!
  17. Thanks soba! I do enjoy reading here and I should post more often. I do not think rich and sophisticated are negative adjectives!!! I like seeing how the other half lives! I am not poor nor am I a hick . Cooking is a passion of mine (but some days it is a dreary task!). I hope I didn't sound too harsh-I just wondered if everyone here eats gourmet food all the time!
  18. Man- is everyone here rich and sophisticated!!!! That party alone probably costs what I spend to feed my family in a month! Don't get me wrong-I love reading all about expensive restaurants etc. it is just a whole other world. Any stay at home moms here who love to cook but do so on a budget???? I really don't mean this in a critical way-it just blows my mind that's all!
