  1. I knew i liked being "childless, carless, debt-free, employed full-time with benefits" for a reason. I completlly agree. Its all a matter of choices. I don't have a car payment or a very high rent. I might not be saving up enough but you better bet i will try to go to at least a few excellent (and sometimes expensive) restaurants ever two weeks
  2. You are fighting the good fight for us all Jamie. This makes me want to take a burger road trip - hmmm. Thanks for the report. Joe
  3. Got to love the Who. But in reality i just hijacked my brother-in-law's web space. Good catch though tommy - most people just think by the url that it is a porn site of sorts (its actually a truck site).
  4. no one goes to the BC naked son. We'll see about that. hmm naked - no - but i will wear one of those tux t-shirts.
  5. Hi all, I had a great time seeing you all yesterday. Molly's has a special place in my heart probably because I have drank plenty there. While the burger was a bit of disappointment, for a recovering meat eater it was a pretty good pub burger. But now i really want to find a good burger, one that makes me think - "why eat anything else." I was a bad photographer yesterday, but I did take a few pics. Next time don't worry I will take many more. molly's burger and fries Picaman has sworn off glass and planes and is onto burgers! It did have a nice thickness At molly's - they care Can't wait for the next outing!
  6. Best drunken meal has to be very crispy fresh fries dipped into amazingly good and achingly cold vanailla ice cream. Very close to that is a slice of pizza so hot that if you weren't piss drunk you would probably throw it across the room. Damn i am hungry now
  7. I have a possible addition to the list of burger places to hit. Not to be a critic following whore (wait why am I a whore?) but Robert Sietsema (village voice food critic ) says that the best burger he found in his rounds this year is at Petite Abeille. Might be hard to get a table for 16 there, but its worth looking into.
  8. First and second post! Paul's Palace is on second ave near the corner of st marks (8th street). Red meat sounds good to me. Ahh 3 years as a vegetarian and now part of burger club - i love life.
  9. Talk about getting in late in a conversation - I too would love to pursue the ultimate new york burger. If it is too late [for molly's] i understand but if not then I am in. Paul's palace is right near my apt - good burger place but not the most amazing burgers. They do have damn good vege burgers (i still think it is meat and anyway it is cooked basically right next to the real burger) and their pickle tub and cheap beer make it a great place. But a great burger, as is all great food, is something real special. Now molly's - that should be fun. Are we allowed to drink guiness with it - or is it only water? :-) Joe
