  1. Saigon is a must eat asian, especially in the desert of culinary delights in north jersey. shrimp dumplings, duck summer rolls, and vietnamese spring rolls as appetizers. Pad thai spicy noodles with duck or shrimp, spicy beef, pork chops, and aromatic duck are all wonderful entree's. The food is all made to order fresh with a side order of love. It's light and tasty and very addictve, so if you are not looking for a new vice, don't eat here.
  2. anything italian, steak, ice cream, chocolate and passion fruit

  4. THE SMELL OF A WELL PREPARED POT ROAST SIMMERING FOR HOURS.OR THE SMELL OF A SIMMERING TOMATOE GRAVY WITH SAUSAGE AND MEATBALLSAND OF COURSE BROILING STEAKS SMOTHERED IN GARLIC
  5. Bourdain has the best show in the food industry because he idenifies what the inner meaning of food is and that is memories of your particular youth those meals that become the inner thread of our lives. And those tastes and smells that make up our souls. This show always leaves me wanting for more. By the way I lived in Rio for 4 years and still own a home in niteroi, rio do ouro. And I make a mean mocoto soup. Next time you do a tour of rio I;ll take you to a bar b que that just grills pigeon(wonderful) or the beach in Itipu when whole beach is surrounded by a big net that ultimatly dredges up all sorts of sea cratures( make sure you have at least 3 dollars for three kilos of your fish of choice) Keep up the great work!!!

    Dinner! 2003

Today I am marinating some free range chicken in an infused olive oil, infused with lemongrass, rosemary and chive. Tomorrow I will couple that with italian black oil cured olives, roasted garlic and an imported spice from france by the name of epices rabelais( available at fairway oon 125th street in harlem. Then we roast for one hour on 400degree's and will accompany with baby white egglant sauteed with garlic and currants and sprinkled with sel de mer. Also smashed baby yukons with danish butter, sour cream, chives and truffle oil. Yellow baby watermelon is dessert. C'mon people let's face it food is a celebration.
  7. Be sure and try pirana cooked with azaite de dende(palm oil) and fresh coconut milk with onions peppers and garlic, gingerly prepared in an iron cast skillet. Also there are many wonderful fruits and vegtables grown organicaly of course. Enjoy!!!!
  8. :raz:We're looking for food adventures in L.A., like that great little mexican resturant ran by somebodys mexican grandmother< or that 100 year old hot dog stand that never changed any of their recipes and still has lines around the corner. Can anybody help me or is there no culture in L.A. like there is in the east coast?
  9. I love tiger sauce, piri piri (a portugese specialty hot sauce) and malageta ( a brasilian hot pepper sauce made with a variety of nuclear quality fire) and a shout out to grace's scotch bonnet sauce(jamaican)
  10. In amish country in pa. there;s an abundenc of amish style cooking. Plain n' good cooking focusing on quality ingredients and simple recipe's based on most of their germanic backrounds. Lots of sausages and meatloaf, various potato dishes with an acompaniment of very fresh home grown vegtables. Though good it's very heavy eating and tends grow old after 4 or 5 meals in a row so plan short stays.
