anyone have a recommendation for a place in Toronto that does this well? I don't see it on many menus (I suspect it's not really restaurant food, more like mom's comfort food).

It's not on the menu at Korea House but they had it when I asked for it (or rather when my moms did) She flashed some secret Korean gang sign.

I don't live in canada so I don't have a reccomendation for a place that serves it, but you will find it in a restaurant. It is restaurant food and it is usually served in a korean restaurant that does Chinese style korean food. Look for a place that serves jampong - the 2 usually go hand in hand.

Theres a korean style chinese restaurant west of yonge on steels, i'll post the name as soon as I remember. Pretty good place! Its a chain as well I think, I know there is one location in Missisauga...

thanks for the replies so far. Someone else pointed me to a place called hae-ryong banjum that fits the location description, which I'm going to search out soon. Also apparently a place called cho-won at Yonge/Finch has it too but the restaurant is terrible according to my informant.
