Can anyone give me some info as to who offers a program like this in the city. I recently found out a close friend has been looking to take this type of program but has had no luck. Thanks

Institut du tourisme et de l'hôtellerie du Québec on St-Denis just north of Sherbrooke. it's a collegial level program meaning that it's not that expansive and you can do an internship in France.

Does he have no French?

I would think the sommelier program at the Ecole Hotelliere des Laurentides would be one of the best in North America.

He has some french, but would just feel more comfortable in English

There is no sommelier program in English in Montreal, or at least none that I have found. There is a fantastic one at George Brown college in Ontario though. If anyone finds an english one in this city that is well regarded please let us know.
