On another board we were discussing our favorite rums and a guy listed 3 Demerara rums.

I am wondering if this is a process or just the region in Guyana the rum or sugar is from.

I bought a bottle of Plantation Guyana 1990. Whilst good, I found it had a slightly bitter taste. Is this a Demerera rum? It did'nt state this on the bottle

you may call it demerara but you do not have to. But if you want one can call this demerara rum
