I read that my breakfast gin and tonic may be under threat. According to this report in the Guardian,

Volatile weather patterns may be altering taste of juniper berries – a key botanical in the spirit

Edinburgh's Heriot-Watt University have published a report in the Journal of the Institute of Brewing claiming the flavour has diminished in recent years.
