Phonetically it sounds like, "bod eye chee" or "bod eye go".

It's a sweet white dessert, steamed in a tart shell. My mom used to make them and I never knew how she made it or what the ingredients were.

Anyone know the recipe?

Glutinous rice "cakes", boot zai gou (缽仔糕).

Here's a recipe in:

Chinese: http://blog.5d.cn/user7/carrie/200608/295366.html

English: http://schneiderchen.de/328Steamed-Rice-Cup-Cake.html

Change the sugar for different colours.

Best Wishes,

Chee Fai.
