Ustica

I am doing some research on my family roots and I managed to find some family connection to Ustica. Does anyone have any first hand information on Ustica and Usteci cuisine?

Ustica is just a small volcanic island, north, off the coast of Sicily. Perhaps the cuisine there is something similar to Sicilian cuisine?

Hello-I just did some research and (if it helps) Ustica is part of the provence of Palermo. For more info about the place check out this website.

Look for the cookbook Islands in the Sun; I forget the author. It is a survey of the cuisine of the Italian isles and I know Ustica is mentioned, but I'm not sure how much depth is given. But it's a great cookbook regardless.
