Its the lightness and the spiciness and the coolness, that all balance out Indian food brilliantly. Why don't more people make them? Are they hard or expensive to make? Vikram My guess is it hasn't caught on in popularity enough yet.

Also if the bartender gets overenthusiastic or showoffy and shakes the drink too hard, there can be little chips of ice in it. I hate that. How funny. I hate it when the barkeep doesn't shake it long enough or hard enough, little ice chips are how I judge that the drink is likely to be cold enough for my tastes. I hate not cold enough cocktails. Takes all sorts... regards, trillium I must admit to liking the ice chips myself.

singha having no taste dont know if I agree with that. Yes, I would also say that it does have a bit better rating than "no taste". Singha is above average, but nothing special as others have stated on this thread. Not a bad beer.

any other fans here? This is one of my favorite types of beer. Surprisingly, Blue Moon used to make a really good one years ago. Highly aromatic, when you opened the bottle, that beautiful aroma would waft up quite strongly to your nose, the orange peel and coriander, great taste. However, something changed. Im not sure what happened, but at one point that strong aroma disappeared, the taste was still the same but not as strong, much weaker beer these days. Hoegaarden makes a pretty good one. Celis is allright, nothing great imo.

Thats exactly correct. Best Buy does not necessarily mean "cheap". Who knows, I may occasionally drink a "cheap" wine, but I would never admit to it publicly

What are your opinions on Greek wines? Anyone here enjoy a Demestica, Agiorghitico, or Roditis? They taste good with Greek food. I'd like to hear any of your opinions, pro and con. Detractors feel free to blast away

What are your personal best buy recommendations for Champagne/Sparkling wine? It was interesting to see on the "Wine You Don't Care to Drink" thread recommendations for less expensive alternatives to Moet White Star. Egly-Ouriet, Turgy, etc. Anyone else here have any recommendations, discoveries for White Star level? or maybe higher level like Cristal?
