  1. I wonder how much money a good reputation costs these days... I'm a little surprised that anyone who's worked as hard as he has to get where he is in such a difficult industry would allow his reputation to be purchased for any amount of money. Let's face it - the only thing that seperates the top wage earners from those making $40K per year is a GREAT reputation and some star quality. All chef's know that their future earning potential is determined solely on that reputation. And now it's looking like Rocco isn't coming out of this train wreck with that reputation intact; it may need the ER before this is over. I think it's difficult for even those of us who have worked in the industry to tell fact and fiction in a show like this, but based on what I've seen to date, I think Rocco was very short-sighted to have done this show without editing approval.
  2. It's not just you. Only - it's not his face that makes him unattractive. It's the slime and teen-age anti-charm he starts exhibiting whenever he's in the vicinity of someone with breasts. Blech -
  3. For what it's worth, the server's had my complete sympathy (except for that Pete-person, who I would have shown the door quickly). I was appalled at the management staff's behavior more than anything else, including whoever was NOT expediting the plates in the BOH. Having done that job myself, I can tell you that based on what was shown on television this evening, they weren't doing their job. Or maybe they were and Mr. Burnett chose to show the kitchen staff in a bad light - who knows. This show does not inspire me to want to eat at this restaurant.
  4. Nor any that I've worked with playing tag-and-tickle under the table with the customer (is there an emoticon on this site for retching?)
  5. What she said. Giving birth wasn't as painful as watching this show.
