  1. I use a stainless steel pot that's very old, and I'm sure it doesn't hold enough water for the amount I'm making, so there are two suspects. I wonder what would happen if I rinsed the orzo just before cooking, to eliminate some of the extra starch.
  2. Shel, I will follow your advice. But out of curiosity, I'd also like to know why orzo has that superglue property more than other pastas.
  3. I've noticed that some of my al dente orzo (generally I use Ronzoni) sticks to the pot after I use the dishwasher, and also stick to dishes and utensils that were washed. I can only guess it's the small size, as elbows, spaghetti, etc. don't do this nearly as much. Is there any way to prevent this?
  4. Does BBB require the box, styrofoam, etc. when you return something?
  5. Glad to have found this forum, and would like to ask re the large Smart Oven: 1. To have BB&B apply a 20 percent off coupon to Breville, is it a matter of being lucky with the manager you speak to? Or is the exclusion ignored more than enforced? 2. Not sure how widespread the problem with a burnt-out LCD is, but I've seen a number of posts in various forums saying it died just after the warranty expired. For an extra measure of protection, would it be a good idea to use a surge suppressor that could control small and large voltage spikes?
