  1. If you're at the Aldwych end of theatreland, Axis is worth a look - rather pricey for what it is a la carte, but a bargain post-theatre menu.
  2. I'm guessing you're American - you couldn't get an injunction in such circumstances in England. Here, it would be very unusual for a contract such as this to be litigated - there is virtually no prospect of getting punitive damages and therefore the amount of money involved doesn't make it worth your while. You might in theory be able to argue that a two hour time limit is "unfair" for the purposes of the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations and therefore enforceable. However this would probably be a bit of a stretch. Most likely the only recourse people have against this sort of thing is simply to avoid the place.

Incidentally, does anyone else get their fruit/veg at the slightly sinister (but not at all bad) place on Aldersgate Street, opposite and along from Barbican tube?
  6. Incidentally the St John bakery have also stopped making ciabatta, which wasn't particularly authentic but was nevertheless yummy. Shall have to get used to trudging all the way up Upper St to Euphorium...
