  1. My wife caught me drooling and moaning over this thread. She thought I was looking at porn. She'll be eating soup with me by tomorrow. Is that considered a threesome?
  2. Hello all! I recently won a recipe contest and one of the prizes was a $200 gift certificate to a kitchen store. I'd like to use the proceeds to acquire a new knife as my current Wusthof is getting a bit ragged. I'm looking for some guidance. I'm just a home chef looking for an all-around 8" chef's knife. I've done some research on this site and have come up with some good ideas but the selection at this store is a bit limited. The brands available are Wusthof, Henckels, Global, shun and furi but the choices within each brand are limited. One knife I was looking at in particular is the Henckels twin cermax m66 8" chef's. Any opinions? Thanks in advance! Steve
  3. Great Thread! I'm anxiously awaiting some more opinions on the Meyersville Inn. Unfortunately, it has an uphill battle. The previous owners (Ginty's) went SOOO far out of their way to give this building a bad reputation it'll take a lot of buzz to get the word out about the new ownership, management, chef, menu, etc. I plan on having dinner there next week and look forward to what I hope will be a fabulous meal.
  4. Congrats on your engagement! I sometimes go to restaurant supply stores for certain items. I'm not a professional so I'm lucky there's one near my hometown that's open to the public. The cookware offered through my local store doesn't really offer the top shelf home sets that I see at Williams-Sonoma or Macy's. I often find that the top shelf cookware designed for home use has more polish to it and is designed to be pleasing to the eye as well as functional and durable. The pots and pans at supply stores are purely for function. They're less expensive but also lack some of the eye-pleasing qualities of your set. The kind of stuff I like at restaurant supply stores are: weird shaped plates condiment dispensers plastic ketchup bottles (for plating syrups and sauces) some linens
