Don Giovanni replied to a topic in Wine
I know someone who has entered with 14 wines for the very first time... that would be a hoot to win solid gold and maybe the Gov cup... time will tell... Cheers !!! -
that's the point they start to die before they ever get to market... they sit in warehouses for months on end... by the time you get them you may well be at 6 months or longer... I had a person who works for a chocolate company and he told me the chocolate you get is min 6 months old... he gave me some fresh off the line... about one week in and let me tell you ... in a blind tasting the fresher chocolate always wins... Cheers !!!

Zuccarino report...www.Wine101.TV Tannins All You Need To Know tannins are elusive and react different depending on the source... some American oak tannins are harsher than the European softer Allier oak fro that Forrest... the real astringent tannins come from the seeds...this is why you must have ripe brown seeds or you will get a bitter wine.. Zuccarino Report : FLX with the frost damage coming in fro the cooler sites...it's looking like for Riesling over 50 % damage... this will lead to a small crop... but the good news is the vines had 3 extra weeks growth so the vintage should be a great one ... with small crops the vine energy will make that small crop very intense... looking for a small but great vintage...
