I work as a Network Infrastructure Engineer at a very prominent phone company. Cooking is a hobby for me. I have thought of making it a career, but I did that with my hobby in computers and then realized that I needed to get a new hobby. I couldn't stand the idea of working the computer field all day and then coming home and playing around with my own. So, I don't want to make another hobby a career. Plus, its just not as much fun for me if I have to deal with all the tension and long hours and work environment of the industry. So, it remains a hobby. I just want to make good food with a full understanding of what it takes to make good food - the principles and foundational skills behind it. I know that I can probably never achieve the same level of skills and understanding as those who work in the industry, but that's ok. I don't want to be the best in the world. I just want to have fun and cook.
