  1. I don't see why they couldn't bit the bullet and make it an hour long show. There's nothing else much on on Tuesday nights anyway. The show would have been more flowing and much nicer to watch. I guess they figured that the general public could only stomach half an hour of 'science' (if that's what they call it) at a time and an hour would have been too much for our poor brains to handle. Overall I love the show but wish there was more of it...
  2. Thank you so much for this insightful write up. I've just started following Aki and Alex's blog and really enjoy their ideas... The photos are excellent too!
  3. If you want to head to Ely - try going on the second or forth Saturday of the month when the farmer's markets are there. It's quite a decent market too (much better than the Cambridge market). Along the River Ouse, Ely is a cathedral town, so there plenty to look at including a nice walk from the cathedral to the river. Along the river there are a few lovely places to eat - but not too many that I've eaten at so can't really recommend. If you want to head into Cambridgeshire, I would suggest going to Granchester which is more of a village. It's about 3 miles from Cambridge and quite small. Food wise, if you're looking for afternoon tea, try The Orchard or for a quaint pub experience try the Green Man which has, I think, more of the feeling that you're looking for. Let us know where you head!
  4. I almost bought the book as well, but when I saw the lack in number of recipes thought I'd wait til after the series to see if it was worth while. Starting tonight though and I'm oh so excited!
