  4. oly Grail) as the film "The Fisher King". ************ WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION: -insomniac has guessed that #123 ("you know what a putenesca is? it means naughty girl's pasta.") is the film "Lemony Snicket Series of Unfortunate Events". NOPE -Toliver has guessed that #123 is "The Goodbye Girl" NOPE 123. "you know what a putenesca is? it means naughty girl's pasta." clue: said while the character's cooking, to a little girl, who hasnt eaten yet, and is kinda lonely. it might be "bad girl pasta" that he says.
  5. No..think "bad girls's pasta" and wanna be toughguys.
  6. racheld answered #127 correctly, and I confirmed it a coupla days ago... she answered correctly to the clue: "DONT be DELICATE!!" this was anthony quinn in zorba the greek. congrats, again! -nk
  7. oh yeah. I felt, almost shy or embarasesed, like I wasn't supposed to see that view/angle of what was going on there...I could feel myself blushing, as I did with the teenage oyster diver and the older man scene in Tampopo...whew! so scandelous but not really. one is unbridled yet controlled, the other contained, yet simmering over the top.
  8. #127: CLUE: the man (A.Q.) is doin' a Liza-DoLittle, reverse style, on the british gent. a chair is broken, wine is spilled on a clean white shirt. a scarf is a hankercheif is a surrender to the dance
  9. #66: The cook, the thief, his wife and her lover? didn't this already happen?
  10. Yes! Congratulations! you got it! #125 is FLIRTING w/DISASTER It's when mary tyler moore's neurotic character (mother of ben stiller's character) is being a bit defensive about Tea leoni's character's documenting her son's quest for his biological parents...possibly one of the best cast and fun(niest) movies...ever!
  11. Is all that candy and the clue being lolly-pop...is that Chitty Bang-Bang?
  12. I am guessing that #122 ("you'll eat it rare. to feed your blood") is "Moonstruck" (again) Yes, you got it.. #122 IS.Moonstruck. to Confirm: #124 IS Fargo--sorry for the innacurate quote, Joel and Ethan would not like that. #126 IS Goodfellas #127, "DON'T be delicate!" is NOT Birdcage another clue: it is yelled at close range.
  13. another clue/quote from a movie: "DONT be DELICATE!!!" clue: in reference to someone's drinking style
  14. why do people like that movie "Chocolat"? I thought it was horrible -Big Night, for the love of food. -Antonia's Line has a wonderful bit about the artichoke, and a lot of food/farm/life fodder -the Sopranos almost alwways makes me want pasta and red sauce, or steak. -I agree with whomever said Moonstruck. Nicholas cage at the bread oven, Olympia Dukakis at the kitchen making eggs with red peppers in toast, and her slyly sipping her soup..the dessert tray at the restaurant and the sugar cubes in the champagne..all wonderful. even the coffee. what a great flick. -tampopo for sure. remember the lady squishing all the bread items in the grocery store? -what about "I love you to death"? not very respectful of food, but fun, nonetheless -mostly martha -gazpacho in Almodovar's "women on the verge"
  15. oh yeah. pomegranate project, by nicola kountoupes plus my whole thesis project for my mfa revolves around filo dough as a substrate for my images. I'll figure out how to post them on here...eventually. nk
  16. "Mildred Pierce" it is. This would have been the next clue if no one got it: "After that, only one thing was on my mind. To open the restaurant and make it successful. 'Short stack. Easy on the butter. Adam and Eve on a raft. Hit me hard.' ' **************************** nice. great movie. nk
