I am thinking of growing a pomegranate tree in my backyard. any suggestions? has anyone done this before and had any problems? I'm concerned about the freshness of the fruit, bugs, etc.

Thanks for posting this, i especially enjoyed the imagery you included. This post has inspired me to take a trip to some Texas wineries, which I have been wanting to do for some time now. Now I just need to get off my butt and do it! Has anyone heard anything about the wineries in the Hill Country? Any recommendations? I have heard of the ones in Fredricksburg but I am not sure if that is in the Hill Country... THere is also a winery in Lago Vista that I have wanted to go to with my boyfriend, not sure of the name though. Thanks!

For those who have not been to either Vivo or El Chile, both located near each other on Manor Rd., you should definately try them. I have been to both and enjoyed them. For those who have been, which do you prefer and why? I know they are both different atmospheres and have different menus, but im still curious for a comparison. I love the margaritas at Vivo and the atmosphere is great for more intimate or formal occasions. Their taco salad is divine El Chile has great food and the atmosphere is more laid back.

Ah. But only if they have a huge billboard with Gordo's face for Michael to stare lovingly up at every time he's cutting vegetables. ← i'm glad i am not the only one that found the billboard prayers hilarious...or maybe creepy. either way, i liked this show compared to most reality shows (at least the ones on fox) and i am curious to see if they will do another season. also has anyone seen the previews for kitchen confidential? I have not read the book, but the show looks really lame. does it seem close to the book from what you have seen??
