About Me

I grew up with two parents who are wonderful cooks and avid food lovers.

In addition to this, my father started a number of BBQ restaraunts in Adelaide, South Australia as well as our family company Olga's Fine Foods, one of South Australia's leading smallgoods manufacturers where I am now employed as a director.

Growing up around this, I developed very early on a love of food and a respect for food culture.

I have a BA(Hons) and PhD from the University of Oxford (UK) in Physiology and and MSc from the University of Adelaide.

I have also just been awarded a scholarship from the Food Media Club of Australia to study the Le Cordon Bleu MA in Gastronomy at the University of Adelaide in South Australia.

My interests are in the application of scientific methodology to traditional cooking techniques in order to verify/nullify these cooking methods. I am also very interested in learning more about meat and meat products.

I am a certified Associate Food Safety Auditor and have completed a smallgoods making course at Regency TAFE international in Adelaide, South Australia.

I have also published a number of food related articles for local industry publications here in Australia.
