  1. Delicious hot rolls arrived immediately. Yum. Then, the waiter brought us a goodie from the kitchen- grilled rabbit in a pastry shell and that was also delicious. John started with an endive salad, with montrachet which we shared. Then, I had a grilled salmon with ratatiulle (sp?) and olive tapenade. John had grilled sea bass on a bed of leeks, garnished with asparagus and chive oil. Both dishes were excellent. We each had 1 glass of wine and coffee...no dessert. (we looked at the desserts but nothing spoke to us) The restaurant was empty except for us! And it is expensive. The bill came to just over 贄. I believe the menu is the same for dinner. I would go again.
  2. Yes, I found that review someplace and that is why we went. I can't find it now :(
  3. John and I had lunch there today. Nothing special. F Fields was a lot better. The garlic soup was just OK, the grilled salmon salad was gussied up with grapes, blue cheese, artichoke hearts, and the coffee was insipid. I doubt if we will return. I miss Fresh Fields.
  4. Whole Foods/Fresh Fields in Millburn is my current favorite market. I shop also at farmer's markets and the Sunday am one in Summit is excellent. If I can't find something at Whole Foods, I head for Kings or the Shoprite in Livingston.
  5. Thanks to the person that suggested Hill City Deli in Summit. We have lived here for years but somehow, I never tried them....that is, until I read the glowing post. Everything I bought was delicious and I will be going again.
  6. Not really. I like Tekka Don, and my two current favorite rolls are a tuna/avocado one and a salmon/cucumber one. I also like sashimi. I always order something with raw fish.
  7. Mynew Japanese friends recommend the following restaurants. Ajian- Rt. 22W, Watchung Sono- Millburn Tomo- South Orange Ave., S. Orange I like all 3 also and I also like Yuki-Hana (Madison) Tomo is an experience. It looks like a dump and I only went in because it was recommended by 2 different Japanese people. It is tiny (maybe 5 tables-I will count next trip) and no sushi bar. I cannot pick a favorite from the above.
