  1. They ruined my Crunch Berries! My secret vice has always been Captain Crunch's Crunch Berries cereal. Now when you eat them, the "berries" turn from red & purple to blue...the milk turns blue...your tongue turns blue...your fingers even turn blue (if you're eating it dry from the box). Horrible.
  2. Some girlfriends and I are trying to decide on the eatery for Friday's Girls' Night - has anyone been to 21P yet? Suggestions?
  3. Sorry, my curiosity got the better of me!
  4. My mom & I have been doing this for years! We used to drive from South Carolina to Austin, TX using one route on the way there and another for the trip home just so we could hit all our favorite food spots along the way (probably would have been cheaper & less caloric for us to fly, but then we wouldn't have found Sheps BBQ in Palestine, TX either).
  5. I was all ready for a hearty lunch until I read about the used bandaid in the Arlington poster's Thai food. Now my curiosity is peaked: what's the worst/most disturbing thing you have ever found or had a customer discover in a dish?
  6. Imagine maintaining the Clouds...I don't know how coordinated other people are, but climbing into bed with a martini glass in hand and a plate of tapas in the other... I see some nasty cleaning bills happening. Yuck
  7. Han Ha Reum on the corner of Gallows Rd and Lee Hwy just past Falls Church has an amazing assortment of Asian groceries, fresh/unique produce as well as fresh fish and seafood - and it's extremely affordable! Best to go during the evening on a weeknight though, you can spend a day in the check out line on the weekends!
  8. We have one floating around our offices. Mr. June's our fav
  9. Vermilion, Tallula and Evening Star Cafe are donating a percentage of sales from lunch & dinner shifts on Tuesday, January 18th. Wait staff and managers who wish to participate are also contributing tips and salaries from that day. If you haven't been to one of these places in a while or have been meaning to try them out, next Tuesday might be a good time to go...
  10. The full menu is available in the bar (and back lounge) so if you can't get a table for some reason, grab a spot and order away. Have fun!
  11. Am going to Bangkok 54 in Arlington this weekend for dinner. I read the review from The Post which was a rave...wondering if anyone else had been in and had any suggestions on dishes not to be missed. Thanks!
  12. I don't know, I'm a huge fan of the butternut squash soup...however, Tallula's Celery Root Soup is yum - haven't seen it offered anywhere else.
  13. Bobby Beard is most definitely still there - and has been working some magic in the kitchen over the past few months. He's turned the place around with an entirely new menu. Personally, the butternut squash soup alone is ...for dinner you might want to try the Grilled Bison Hanger Steak for starters with either the Pan Fried Cornmeal Crusted Trout or the Double Cut Pork Chop. Anyone else been in lately? MelGold
