  1. Thank you!!! Hmmm not the news I expected, but I guess we will just have to try it out, Im sure the wedding food will be great! If i happen to find any amazing or just good restaurant, I will post it here for future ref. Thanks for your help Prasantrin :0)
  2. BUx, my apologies!!! It is Plaza Mayor im talking about, sorry, so many squares in MAdrid and Barcelona, but they are completley opposite in popularity so easily confusing. Yes, i meant the caves under the square, the small themed ones, I see you know them well. Do you know the restaurant, cant remember the name now ... walking down form the Plaza on the left hand side after the caves??? HIGHLY recomendable restaurant, usually fully booked a week in advance but my mind has gone completley blank. You walk in a small door, windows out to the side street, its on the walking street before coming down to normal streets with cars etc, sorry, will work my brain or ask my sister, but for anyone going to Madrid centre, this is higly recomendable... unless its almost been menitoned prior to my joining!!! Typical for its COCHINILLO and CARNE A LA BRASA etc, Grilled meats!!!
  3. HI everyone, been reading round to find any info on Morroco!!! Im going to a wedding in Casablanca on Thurs, will be there four days, Thinking of doing Casa first day, then wedding, then Marrakesh and Rabat, maybe Fes too ... any suggestions?! where to go and eat. Heard ok restauirants in Casablanca but we really want some good local food and a night of fine dining Friday maybe! Would love to hear comments or ideas, we live in Barcelona and have eaten plenty of Cous cous etc so time for the REAL thing ... Thanks!!!
  4. OK sorry, it may not be the BEST guide but it helps you out of any last minute emergency ! At least most of us use it down here for that. I only tried to help ...
  5. http://www.guiadelocio.com/bilbao/restaurantes/index.cfm http://www.revistaiberica.com/directorios/...s/paisvasco.htm have a look at these webs, the first one is the best guide to everything here in Spain, good luck and enjoy it
  6. BIlbao, let me have a quick look at a guide I know, it may have some good options but im sure there will be various great tapas bars, the bac ones are the best, just eat all you can and then they count your toothpicks to pay, great fun, you must drink Txacoli with that, kind of Sparkling refreshicng white wine
  7. JOrdi, reading through these posts, I went on to see your website, WOW! Looks absolutely great, living here in BCN and being a cuisine lover and working in the Hotel sector, I myself and my co workers thought we knew it all, but neither of us know the cinc sentits! Its on my list ofr my next grand dinner escape night!!! CAnt wait, and will add it onto our list to take our Hotel directors next time, running out of good places to take them. Moltes gracies y hasta pronto
  8. Dont have huge knowlkedge on Sevilla Restaurants, but asked for some recommendations for you, check these; Al Mutamid MOdesto - a classic in Sevilla Taberna del Alabardero - one of the most prestigious rests in the city they say! Used as part of Sevilles Hospitality school too Romerijo, from 1952, seafood Luxury dining in Sevilla - Los Seises, Casa Robles, Rio Grande, Hope you enjoy it, its a cute city, not too big but very emblematic, you must see the cathedral and its gardens!
  9. Great to read of your dining experience in MAdrid, I live in Barcelona but was in Madrid for almost a year too! Not too familiar with all of these places you visited however some I know. Just out of curiosity, did you not visit the small famous caves up on Plaza Espana, very touristy yes, but a must do in MAdrid, each cave has a theme, one is omeletes, other is mushrooms, seafood, Jamon serrano etc, they are a trip worth. You bascially spend some three hours cave hopping, sampling small tapas and lots of wine!!! Great fun! About eggs and asparagus, make yourself a typical dish from here (BCN) revoltillo de esparagos ... like scrambled eggs with mushrooms/fungi and or asparagus with some fine cut spring oinion for the taste and all lightly sauteed, ohhh delitious. HAve a great day!!!
