  1. I was at The Harrison on Saturday night and had the fried clams appetizer (strips only). They are served with fried lemon slices and cilantro (I think)and I thought they were excellent. Not at all greasy. Anyway, here is another place to have fried clams if you weren't aware.
  2. I have eaten in 25 and plan on eating in many more!! Spain France Italy Denmark Canada Japan Hong Kong China Mexico Costa Rica Belize Nicaragua United States Hawaiian Islands Cayman Islands Puerto Rico Greece Monaco Norway England Hungary Turkey Sweden Switzerland Honduras
  3. Our reservation was for 8:00. We were there until about 10:30. Bux, After I wrote my initial post, I realized that cabrales had called in advance and so I edited my post (or at least thought I did). That is why there are two posts that essentially say the same thing. I guess I did something wrong.
  4. I was at Blue Hill on friday night but was unaware of the grape tasting menu. Although I did read about Blue Hill on Wednesday in the New York Times in regard to concord grapes, I didn't see anything on the regular menu that included them. We had the regular tasting menu. I'm thinking maybe the grape tasting menu wasn't avilable or our waitress failed to mention it (of course, we also failed to ask). Do you know if it was available on friday as well? We would have loved to have tried it. Despite this, the meal was EXCELLENT. Definitely among the best meals I have had.
  5. I have eaten at the Lugers in Great Neck many times, as well as the one in Brooklyn. Outside of the atmosphere, I don't see any difference. Once I even asked if the steaks were any different and was told that they are aged in exactly the same way and that they are the same cut from the same source. By the way, did you know that you can order their meat for overnight delivery? Well worth it and pretty much the same price as any good porterhouse from a high quality butcher.
  6. I just bought Skippy in a tube for my two kids (ages 2 ane 5) and they LOVED it. Unilever must know something about what kids want after all.

    Tuna Salad

Here is another great way to have tuna if one is on a diet. Solid white packed in water low fat mayonaise granny smith apples cut in bite size chunks (without the peel) dried cranberries I got the idea from a local gourmet store and make it at home now. It really is great and is something I enjoy even if I am not dieting.
