If you are traveling in Tuscany and get a chance to visit Pienza, I would highly recommend Il Rossellino, a restaurant in Piazza di Spagna. The couple who own this restaurant are friendly and attentive, and the wife is a very talented cook. We visited in December during truffle season, and she made it a point to bring out a jar filled with truffles before we ordered just so we could enjoy the aroma. The menu is seasonal and included some incredible dishes with truffles, of course, plus some tried and true Tuscan favorites. Everything was fantastic!

I had the pleasure of dining a couple of times at Il Rossellino last spring. When I ate there the husband was in the kitchen. They must be ambidextrous.

At any rate, my entree the first night was one large sauted porcino that almost brought a tear to my eyes. A fun expereince.

I'm assuming that reservations are necessary, considering its size. My Italian is shaky at best, so what's the best way to make a reservation?

I've had Il Rossellino on my "list" for years and I'm really looking forward to dinner there!

As I recall, there is seating for twelve. We didn't have reservations on either occasion and I suppose arrived 8:30 or so.
