Can anyone help me out - where can I locate a couple of packets of mentaiko, a Japenese salty cod roe product?

Well, I'm not exactly sure... correct me if I'm wrong... I though it was the roe of cod... but spiced...

Sorry I can't refer you to a specific store in NYC, but the larger korean and japanese grocery stores in my area (DC) carry frozen mentaiko. You can thaw it in the fridge. Han ah rheum carries it, and they have stores in NJ.

They should have it, but recently they carry less and less jp stuff.
