Chavela preperada

Recommended Posts

Saw this on a menu at an otherwise trustworty Mexican place last night. (Micheladas were also on the menu.)

Chavela preperada: White wine, beer, clamato, and lime juice in a salted mug, with 7 jumbo shrimp on the rim.

Help me out here. Does this sound good to anybody? If so, why?

No judgment. Simple curiosity.

(Yes, I know it should be "preparada," not "preperada.")

Without the white wine, I think it sounds okay (it'd be better with gin or tequila), but then I like Clamato. With the wine, though, I just don't know; it sounds very odd.

It does sound odd. Mudpuppie, I think it's your duty to fall on your sword - try it, for the sake of the Gullet! Get a picture. Report. We need to know! Otherwise... it's so weird that we may just have to try making it ourselves.

Sorry.

I have principles. If you want the address of the restaurant, I'd be happy to oblige....
