Here's a NY Times piece on the decrease in squab sales to Chinese-Americans.

Though a scientist from Canada this weekend told a gathering of the World Health Organization in Geneva that there was no evidence that animals were spreading SARS, there had been unsubstantiated rumors that eating certain foods could expose people to the virus.

When the Chinese news media first reported that possibility, some seafood shops in San Francisco had to throw away rotting fish for lack of sales, Ms. Gong said.

Drinking when we are not thirsty and making love at all seasons: That is all there is to distinguish us from the other Animals.

According to yesterday's NYTimes ,

The World Health Organization lifted its advisory today against all but essential travel to Taiwan, leaving Beijing as the only place the organization is telling travelers to avoid because of the risk of SARS.

Drinking when we are not thirsty and making love at all seasons: That is all there is to distinguish us from the other Animals.

Its been confirmed: SARS comes from animals, the primary suspect being the Palm Civet which is sold as a food delicacy in China.
