I used to sling the cantaloupes on the vine with pantyhose parts. We get donations from retiring gardeners and they often use pantyhose to tie small stakes to plants. They do not break down and are gentle.I always imagine the guys waiting for wife to curse about a run in her stocking so they could zip over and squirrel the offending stocking away
