So bacon experiment number two in the CSO.
after 15 minutes at 400° F steam bake this is what it looked like. I turned over each piece and return the pan to the oven front to back (mostly to evenly scorch the parchment paper). I set the timer for 10 more minutes but after five minutes I checked and got this
For me, perfectly cooked bacon. This was crispy but not shatteringly so. It retained its bacon flavour as it should. Not that I would ever be caught doing this but it can be picked up and eaten with fingers. YMMV.
Served with a fried egg and blistered cherry tomatoes seasoned with salt and some freshly grated ginger. Life does not get a whole lot better than this unless of course you can afford one of RobertM's June Ovens. (me and my bank manager laughing).
