Just wanted to let everybody know that I've just had the best cappuccino this side of the Atlantic at Caffe in Gamba. The place just opened and is beautiful. I believe the concept is to make it as authentically roman as possible (some really modern stuff mixed in with roccoco).

Since I know the owner (full disclosure!), I thought I might encourage you guys to go try it out and post comments and suggestions to help this young entrepreneur with a vision that we should definitely encourage in this town.

Just came back from there--tasty espresso. Place looks good, too bad it's part of the condo block, though. Doesn't seem to have hurt the coffee, and the price is reasonable at 2.19 for a single.

5263 ave. du Parc. It's on the east side, just north of Fairmount. And they make a mighty fine espresso...

Their website is www.caffeingamba.com
