    88 Cote Rotie

Craig has invited me to respond, so, with shameless self-promotion acknowledged: The Champet was/is reasonably priced at Chambers Street Wines because we do our best to have very fair prices that would tempt us too if we happened to wander in. We like mature (properly stored, that is) wines, so we always try to have a few on hand. I haven't tasted the Champet, but a fellow Cote Rotie nut was very pleased with it. And much as I do love Cote Rotie, I'm not certain that there are too many that could stand up to some of the distractions mentioned... Magret de canard sounds good right about now, however.
