  1. Drive into Lambertville and try #9.
  2. Cafe Matisse is BYO. They do not charge a corkage fee as that would be illegal. Their wine shop is separate from the restaurant.
  3. From your mouth to Arthur's ear!!! No, I don't have a regular gig. Thanks for your kind words.
  4. Cafe Matisse, Rutherford is about 20 minutes from the Meadowlands. BYO.
  5. Hey Lou, Thanks. I appreciate your kind words. Check your e-mail. I sent you a love letter! And you do know that An American Grill is one of my favorite restaurants. Ahhhh---the tuna you serve is the best.

  7. I think they are in the process of buying up the whole town which is maybe 4 blocks by 4 blocks. We stayed at the inn and just walked down the stairs for dinner and rolled up them many hours later. I think there are 12 rooms in the main inn. When we came down for dinner Lowell was given a flower for the lapel of his suit. so he could be id as "one who was staying at the inn." I don't know about the rooms that weren't in the main building. However, it was wonderful. Really wonderful.
  8. We were there and stayed at the Inn and it was worth every penny we rolled.
  9. I have a question. Peter’s Grill & Restaurant, 613 Anderson Ave, Cliffside Park What kind of food? Is it BYO?
  10. Amanda's in Hoboken has a 3 course dinner for $25 for 2 people.

    Opus One

Lowell and I had a private tour of the Opus One winery. The place is gorgeous and the wine is treated like a baby. But we weren't impressed with the wine-- liked other Mondavi wines much more. I don't understand what the hype is about. Sorry to be brutally honest but it's just my opinion. However, I think that you are giving a very generous gift and enough people like the wine to keep the price where it is.
  15. I have taken the following explanation from the Bergen Record Health Violations page. "The ratings explained: Conditional - first violation of the state Sanitary Code. Conditional on reinspection - second violation. Satisfactory on reinspection - violation repaired. Unsatisfactory — gross violations that are an imminent threat to public health. An unsatisfactory establishment should be shut down either voluntarily or through a court order. "
  16. The Bergen Record Restaurant Violations for 9/23 can be found here. Restaurant Violations
