I fully understand that sometimes there are unexpected events which cannot be controlled. Under this type of circumstance, I would not be justified in blaming the individual that told me that I wouldn't have to wait when I initially made the reservation, but certainly once at the restaurant, a more accurate estimate of waiting time should have been given. If I knew that we would be waiting a minimum of 30 minutes and likely longer, I might have opted not to wait....... A small appetizer plate was served to the many people waiting, but these are normally served to everyone once seated. In answer to your question regarding the quality of the food, I believe that it would be difficult to be totally objective given the circumstances, but in the past we have very much enjoyed the food there. A pasta dish was ordered by my husband who specifically asked for very little sauce. When brought to the table the waiter immediately realized that the bowl was filled with sauce and asked if he should return it to the kitchen. Given the fact that it was close to 11 pm my husband opted not to return it. After we declined ordering dessert, a complementary tirmasu was brought to the table.... Although I know that the reservation process is not an exact science, in my experience it just seems to me that certain restaurants consistently do a better job than others and I'm not quite sure of the reasons for this.....
