About Me
Graduate of the absolute worst culinary school in America...yet still managed to work in some of the top kitchens in Washington, DC during the eighties. Now, retired and somewhat bored. I still cook daily, for my family and dogs.
Living in rural Virginia limits both my dining out and the ingredients I have available to cook at home. With only a single grocery store inside of a forty minute drive, "make do" ingredients have become a way of life. If I can't buy it at the store, on the internet or grow it, I make do.
