I am a food lover turned food writer and researcher, currently writing a comprehensive Australian tropical cookbook, Tropical Cuisine: Cooking in Clare's Kitchen for home cooks in the tropics.

I am involved with the local farmers market and the Network for Sustainable and Diversified Agriculture, both of which have a focus on increasing the viability and sustainability of local production and economy in tropical north Queensland.

I love the connections between food, culture, place, family and friends, and sharing food, food stories and recipes with people from all walks of life and all places in the world, but particularly with fellow foodies living in the tropics, north and south hemispheres.
