I'm doing some research for a project -- does anyone happen to know of any reasonably famous NY-area chefs who are FROM Staten Island? (they don't have to live there now -- just either grew up there, or lived there at some point) Thanks!

The Marlborough Sounds area is just gorgeous, great for wine tasting. If you'd like a weekend getaway, check out the Mudbrick Lodge -- about an hour outside of Nelson. Sweet, small lodge in the countryside... owner Tania is lovely, and she's a former chef and excellent cook. Enjoy!

Someone mentioned there's great cajun food in Lafayette -- anyone know of specifics? I'd especially love off the beaten track / local type places. Thanks!
