I'm a blissfully married woman (3rd time's the charm), mother of 2, stepmom of 1, grandmother of 5, and great grandmother of 1 with another on the way!

Almost 3 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a survivor, and after diagnosis and treatment I have learned that the only thing stopping me from meeting my goals is myself and that life is to short to waste.

After 8 years as a Harbormaster/Marina manager I am now laying the groundwork for my Personal Chef business - I am not working for someone elses future, I am working for my own. At 60 I am more passionate about food than I have ever been in my life.

My Mother and Grandmother were excellent cooks who instilled their love of great food in me. I think a lot of my cooking is instinctual - and from memories stored deeply in my DNA. My eldest daughter is an excellent cook and my youngest is beginning to blossom in the kitchen - her first beurre blanc was absolutely perfect - that was a proud moment!

My motto in life is "You have to eat - so it might as well be food that stirs your soul and makes your heart flutter in joy!"
