David Chin

I am a former elementary teacher with 17 years of teaching experience. After leaving the elementary classroom, I earned a degree in culinary arts and worked in the food service and hospitality industry for five years. After tiring of the long hours and late nights that included weekend and holiday shifts, I returned to education as a high school chef instructor. In addition to teaching culinary arts, I supervise a student operated restaurant that produces and serves breakfast and lunch, four days a week. Since I am no longer a core academic instructor, I enjoy the creativity of teaching. I also enjoy sharing my love of food with my culinary arts students.
