In my forties, a writer (published and paid even) I love running with my dog, and playing with my four boys. I am addicted to travel, that includes planning travel, which I have elevated to an art form. I also cook and plan what and how to cook it in a bizzare series of list-making rituals that involve piles of cookbooks and more paper than I have a right to use. I love cookbooks and there is no universal theme, however my favorites are the cookbooks of my local haunts. Everything else changes by season and whim. I love to eat out, but cooking what I really want is a soul-satisfying experience for me. I am not married to any one type of cooking, cuisine, or region. I'm willing to try it all. I eat very little meat. What meat I do eat has to be amazing.
