Philip Dundas

Formerly a BBC Producer, Philip 'Pip' Dundas has previously researched and edited various books for whisky afficionado Charles Maclean. He has written and researched for a number of food publications including Taste of Scotland and Scotland the Best as well as The Guardian and The Scotsman.

As well as writing articles for Pips Dish on a regular basis, Philip is also writing a book inspired by his experience of rebuilding a friendship with his estranged adoptive stepfather by teaching him to cook, when he became a widower. It was this relationship, a journey from defiance to an affection for the old man's eccentricity that inspired a book about his life and falling in love with food. As an ex-cook and waiter Philip places simplicity and flavour above fuss and pretention. As a London based Scot he misses Clark Brothers fishmongers in Musselburgh but relishes Bistro Bruno Loubet and being taken to The Wolseley for dinner.
