About Me
I am a food writer and librarian. I've written for Gastronomica, the Chicago Sun-Times, The Root and other publications. I specialize in food of African Diaspora and adore the food of the Middle East. I specialize in African American and African Diaspora foodways and I'm really interested in Middle Eastern food and baking. I'm currently building a research-focused foodways collection at a college in NYC that includes a collection of diverse cookbooks spanning the 20th century into the 2010s.
