My, how things can change: Here is my blurb when I first signed up:
"I have been interested in cooking since I was 10 years old. My Mother, who wan an excellent cook would oblige me by letting me pick out recipes and buy the ingredients for them. We would also try and duplicate meals we had in resturants at home I have never waned from my love of food and cooking. I have considered in the past of becoming a personal chef. I have a non-food job and I would like to do something I enjoy. I have been married over 20 years with a 21 year old daughter and I think it may be time to do something I (and everyone I cook for) enjoy."
I have had 5 jobs in the last 5 years. It is now 2014 and I have been personal 'cheffing' for about 2 years in tandem with working fulltime at various jobs that are less than fulfilling. I have long since given up on that 'career' that has eluded me and chose to forge on with a new 'career' where food and cooking is the focus..
I have also started a new business selling jams and jellies out of my kitchen under the still new law AB1616 passed in CA last year.
I am very excited about being back on egullet!
