About Me
I am a senior therapist in a brain injury progam. My job is to help folks become independent again, and my focus has always been on helping them connect with their dreams so that they can devise realistic long-term goals that carry them beyond their current situations. Two years ago, I started culinary school (part-time) as part of my own exploration of dreams and have been on a wonderful and unexpected journey. I don't know where this will wind up but I am walking through each door as it opens. And let me tell you, the doors just keep opening! I have been lucky enough to land a Saturday job at a fish market working with real New Orleans fishermen; they are mightly fine cooks! I just want to keep learning more and more and more. In short, I am a culinary novice who looks forward to further adventures and educations here at eGullet. Maybe I can even contribute a thing or two someday.
I've been reluctant to post, as I feel like too much of a novice in a world of experienced culinary professionals. Actually, I'm just a weak-kneed whimp. But I am getting stronger and would like to begin taking the heat.
