About Me

My friends call me Tay. I am enrolled at NYU with plans of double majoring in Journalism and Sociology with a minor in either Spanish or Computer Science. I work with David Siegal and Ryan Lowder ,chefs under the training of Jean-Georges and David Bouley, at a brand spankin' new restaurant, Mercat, in Noho (at least I think it is Noho). I have worked in 2 restaurants, Mercat and Piatti, as a prep and line cook. I look up to writers like Shaw, Ruhlman, and Steingarten as food critics, reviewers, and connoisseurs, but my dedication, nay loyalty, lies ultimately with Bourdain, Boulud, Keller, and of course Adria (among the many back of house professionals that have become inspiring front of house writers).
