About Me
I am a Chef/ Consultant. I am chef at La Table des Jardins Sauvages (a woodland table specializing in wild plants and mushrooms) just outside Montreal. I teach part time at Pearson School of Culinary Arts, and have my own company to cover the other odds and ends I do. I cater and translate, do R&D, and write on the side. I am a passionate chef, and member of various culinary associations (Slowfood, Cuisine Canada, Women's Chef Association..).
I have been cooking for 13 years now. I have my red seal, and have trained a few apprentices. I was the Chef de cuisine at Relais Gourmand, Relais et Chateaux L'Eau à la Bouche in Ste-Adele, working there from 2000-2006. Before that, I was souschef at the Monkland Tavern in Montreal, and worked in several other Montreal Bistros. I have attended all kinds of special training course, conferences and workshops over the years. I spend all my time and money on food, wine, books and magazines. When I can find some spare time, I blog at soupnancy.squarespace.com.
