I am a student currently a Freshman at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. I am majoring in HRTM ( Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Mangement) and Baking and Pastry Arts, and also in Culinary Arts. I have worked at the Curious Kumquat and Un Mundo Cafe as a line cook. I was actively involved in the FCCLA and ProStart Programs and am a member of the New Mexico Restaurant Association and National Restaurant Education Assoication though this program. I have gone to nationals with the ProStart program for the past two years in the management (Quiz Bowl and Case Study) section of competition to represent New Mexico. I enjoy researching and making pastry and baking. I also like to research the food science used with cooking.
