  1. Sorry for being so late well climate is Zone 6 here. I get many diffrent amounts of sunshine pending on which garden. I have about 5 gardens largest is about a 30 meter X 40 meter patch others are around 4 feet X 10 feet and I have a "Garden" which wraps around my house I use for lettuce and salad greens.

    About the only thing I ever bought to eat at a 7/11 here was a bag of Cheetos and a pack of peanut butter cups!

    I know this isan't all I can get is a a Sobe and a pack of jerky. :sad: I mean we never have anything that looks that good some old prepacked sandwichs and pepproni rolls thats about it. Just not fair! LOL

  3. OK, what is cream stew exactly? Does it have a western equivalent or is it a made-in-Japan food? And can it be made without the store-bought roux?

    Cream stew is basically a stew thickened with a bechamel (white) sauce. You can make it yourself by cooking butter/oil with flour, then add milk and bring to a boil while stirring. Most all Japanese stews are French-influenced fusion cuisine from the early 20th century. Notice that meat stews you get at good yoshoku restaurants use homemade demi glace, or at least an espagnol sauce. My favorite among these yoshoku stews is tongue stew.

    I call that a Gravy for some reason and I Ladal it over Biscuts.. hehe

No americain influenced japanese dishes please every Asian cook book I get is either th same thing or Americain influced =( plus I would like to see tradtional recipes and fisherman and wild game recipes. Sence I'm a a avid fisherman and hunter I'd love to know some of them and some stuff I could fix while camping in the woods nothing better then a fresh trout over a nice wood fire yum! ^^.

  5. Hello everyone its me again. I was just wondering if anyone had any Meatball and Fishball recipes they would mind passing on? Iron chef got me intrested in Fishballs ^^. I was watching one where this guy made some outta penshells I belive looked really good. Thanks for everyones help. Also use this to discuss your love or dislike of them and how u cook them and so on. ^^

Hello I'm new to this forum. ^_^; "Waves" Myself being in a place where there is hardly if any places to even the basic asian food, spices, ingredents I was wondering if anyone knew a place on the internet I could get nuka at that takes money orders? I don't have a Credit Card. thanks for your help. ^_^
