    A comment from Gilt Chefs: I sure you can all imagine how disappionted we are. We have no regrets in the way we handled our day to day business at Gilt. We cooked with all of our senses and emotions, trying to present an different and amzing experience for our diners. We thank all who experienced what we were creating, and we apologize to all who were unfortunate. We will be back!!!!!! From the beginning there was no direction of Gilt. It came from the notion that a hotel needed a fine dinning restaurant to recieve thier 5th star from the Mobil Guide. It was based on the fact that they had means of money, but no experience to operate such a business(chef driven restaurant). We found out we were being relieved from our duties at Gilt on our last week of holiday. This how unprofessional they are. It was one head ach after another. We knew we had until about years end to change finacial statues of Gilt and they want something more approchable to the hotel guests. We were not at all surprised to be released in any way from Gilt. This is business. We respect their decision and wish Chef Chris Lee and his team happier success. Lateralus.
  5. I had the pleasure to eat at bar ferdinand the second night open. I met Owen the designer. The staff was very frienldy, the bar tenders were great. However, I thought the food was terrible. From the thought process, execution, ingredients, presentation, etc......It was the second night!!!!! Things generally do change for the better with time, but? I had to go to Delias(great phillt gentlemens club) to make my self feel better. I also at at Amada.....great!!!
  6. Piege did leave Amassadeurs. I heard this about two weeks ago. I am trying to find out where he is going? Le cinq would make sense.
  7. Ladies do yourself favors and go to AVEC, Le Bar(Peninsula Hotel) for drinks, Schwa is a BYO, and one more for drinks...Victor Hotel in meat packing district....enjoy/ have fun.
  8. I heard JFP has left Les ambassadeurs....And has already talkin reins at new spot in Paris....does anyone know anything????? Les Ambassadeurs is closing for 2 years for renovations???
  9. I work at GILT in NYC. I have never seen so many single diners. At least one every night.....always VIP!!!! Nathan, you will have an amazing experience!!!
  10. Amazing......everyone should add to archive.....great!!!!! Some of the dishes look very simple.....almost UNGAGNAIREISH.
  11. Avec is one of those restaurant that happened at the right time.. The atmoshpere and attitude captured at Avec is like nothing else. Donnie and Paul have a successful formula. I live a couple blocks form Avec and I go very often. In fact I am goin 2morrow.
  12. Bison was an amazing dish. Ate there on Sunday as well. Thank you to everyone @ Alinea. Amazing......
  13. I am looking forward to eating Alex's desserts one last time @ Alinea tonight.
